May 8th:
Young At Heart
held at First United Methodist Church, 200 Frederick St, Hanover, PA
17331 will meet in the multi-purpose room at noon. Spirit Sound, a group from York will
entertain us with their gospel music. Sandwiches and beverages will be provided. Bring
a covered dish to share if you are able. Make reservations by calling Kas Lawyer,

friend.

May 10th:
Attention All Golfers! First United Methodist Men's Mission & Benevolent Golf
Tournament
will be held on Saturday, May 10th starting a 7:30am for donuts and
coffee before teeing off at 8:30am. Price $60.00. There will be prizes for the 1st and 2nd
flight and for the first time a 3rd flight champion, various door prizes and complete lunch
after the tournament. A new car for a hole in one, longest drive (men and women),
closest to the pin holes and longest putt prizes are also planned. The Cedar Ridge Golf
Course (between Littlestown and Gettysburg) has agreed to allow us to take over the
entire course for "shotgun" start. If you are a single or double we will get you on a team to
complete a foursome. Proceeds will help to benefit the various mission and benevolent
projects of the United Methodist Men. You may also sponsor a hole for $40.00. This
includes an 8 1/2 x 11" color, laminated placard to be placed on the various tee boxes.
A great way to memorialize a loved one, recognize a special event or advertise your

Soul Sisters
, a newly formed women's group, held at First United Methodist Church,
200 Frederick St, Hanover, PA 17731 will meet to share time, read scripture, and enjoy
some relaxation. The focus this month is on our feet. Please bring a towel and join us for
this little mini-retreat to give us the strength to keep going and guiding our family,
co-workers and friends through God's purpose. For more information contact Wendi

PRESCHOOL STAFF POSITIONS:
We are so excited! Joyful Noise at First United Methodist Church, 200 Frederick St,
Hanover, PA is growing! We have potential openings for teachers and assistants in the
4's, 3's, and 2's classes for the 2008-2009 school year. Educational training or
experience in early childhood education is required. All staff members must adhere to
policies and procedures of the preschool and the church's Safe Sanctuary Policy.

an application and to schedule an interview.
Enrollment open for Joyful Noise Preschool

Joyful Noise Preschool at First United Methodist Church, Hanover, is taking registrations for
the 2008-2009 school year. This is a Christian-based preschool using the Pennsylvania
Early Learning Standards for preschools and pre-kindergarten.

Two year olds will meet Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 am to 10:00 am and a second
session for twos will be held from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm on the same days.

Three year olds meet on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00am and end at 11:00am.

Four year olds meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am to 11:30 am; there
are two classes of four year olds that are held during the same time. Children with birth dates
after the school districts' cut offs will receive great pre-K preparation!

A $25 enrollment fee is required to reserve a place for a child. Call 637-1574 ext. 24 to
request a brochure, for tuition costs, or to schedule a visit.
